Traditional ceremonies ground the work that we do at the North Point Douglas Women’s Centre.
We seek the wisdom of our grandmothers and ancestors to guide the way we walk with our community.
In a world full of stress induced by poverty, violence, and racism, we acknowledge the need to find balance in all areas of life. We honour the way that ceremony restores the balance of body, mind, spirit and emotions.
Through our Knowledge Keeper, community grandmothers, and local elders we provide access to smudging, pipe ceremonies, sweat lodge ceremonies, medicine picking, and other spiritual supports as needed.
