NPDWC has been serving the North Point Douglas community and the surrounding area since 2002. Our programs and services have evolved to meet the community's needs, and with the support of our staff, board of directors, funders, donors, and volunteers we have finally reached a longtime goal of setting up an Endowment Fund.
What is an Endowment Fund?
An endowment fund is an investment fund that generates income annually. Contributions to this fund are received by The Winnipeg Foundation and they manage the capital on our behalf. The investments that are made with the capital funds generate financial returns, which are then released to NPDWC to spend as needed.
It is NPDWC's goal to grow and evolve along with our community. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic has created an increased need for supports. The North Point Douglas Women's Centre Inc. Fund will generate some of the capital funding we need to build upon the programs and supports we currently offer and to serve the community in bigger and better ways.
