Sacred Nest Parenting is a non-judgmental and collaborative space for caregivers to reclaim ancestral Indigenous teachings around pregnancy, birth, and parenting through every life stage. Together, facilitators and caregivers will explore the joys and challenges of parenting while building skills and relationships that will support their journeys long after the program ends. The group offers unconditional support so that caregivers can feel safe and comfortable sharing, learning, and growing.

We embrace our community by having Knowledge Keepers come in and share teachings to help us understand the effects of colonization and family separation, ceremony, and how to move forward in a good way. We grow our parenting bundles together, not only spiritually but physically, creating items to add to our parenting bundle. For example, caregivers will have the opportunity to craft traditional moss bags. Sacred Nest also offers support and advocacy for those involved in the child welfare system. It is our goal to support caregivers’ sense of belonging so that they can create positive experiences for generations to come. 

Sacred Nest Parenting is an eight-week program that holds two sessions a year - in September and January – and all caregivers are welcome! Bus tickets, supper, and a childcare stiped are provided. It is a closed group and registration is required.
